Brenda Lusk

Events and Sponsorships Specialist

With nearly two decades of experience in California state government, Brenda Lusk brings a wealth of knowledge in public administration to her new role as the Events and Sponsorships Specialist at the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. Her expertise spans administrative operations, fiscal management, contracting, grants, and human resources, skills that have made her a trusted leader in navigating complex state processes.

Brenda’s career includes streamlining business services and executing statewide events and conferences of all sizes. Most recently, she served as Administration Manager for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy, where she led human resources, audits, rulemaking, and compliance. Prior to that, she worked as Administration Supervisor at the Conservancy and held key roles at the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), including Business Services Manager and Contract Analyst. Her previous experience at the Department of General Services included positions as Fiscal Analyst, Meeting and Conference Specialist, and Inventory Controller.

A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Beyond her state service, she has contributed her leadership skills to community organizations such as the Parent-Teacher Association, the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento, and the Society of Government Meeting Professionals.

Brenda lives in Sacramento with her family and enjoys exploring the outdoors, crafting, cooking, and volunteering with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
