Lauren Babb is a community leader and Vice President of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, the largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in the country, and plays a critical role in advancing reproductive freedom. She was a Women’s Foundation of California Women’s Policy Institute – State Fellow (SPI) and BWOPA/TILE’S Dezie Woods Jones (DWJ) Public Policy Fellow.

Lauren graduated from American University, the George Washington University School of Political Management, and the 2019 Class of Emerge California. She serves as the Chair of the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls and on the board of directors for California Women’s List, California Women Lead, and Contra Costa STAND! for Families Free of Violence.

Lauren was awarded the Gen Now award from the California Black Women’s Collective and Women’s Foundation of California, named Lauren one of 4 Black Policy Movers & Shakers You Should Know.
