Enrica Bertoldo

Director of Grants, Partnerships, and Programs

As the new Director of Grants, Partnerships, and Programs, Enrica Bertoldo brings a wealth of experience in state government, including expertise in public health and behavioral health program administration.

For more than a decade at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), she led initiatives addressing sexual, domestic, and teen dating violence; adolescent pregnancy; and behavioral health. As the Rape Prevention and Education Program Coordinator, she championed strategies rooted in gender equity, youth leadership, and community engagement. In addition, she coordinated a program supporting expectant and parenting youth with a reproductive justice approach to empower young people to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Earlier in her career, Bertoldo played a key role in implementing the groundbreaking Mental Health Services Act, helping shape local and statewide programs following its passage in 2004.

Bertoldo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Political Science, a Master of Arts in Psychology, and completed the CDPH Leadership Development Program. She lives in Sacramento with her husband, teenage son, and golden retriever.
