Girl Scouts Day at the Capitol
Join the Girls Scouts for two days of advocacy, civic engagement, leadership building experience, and collaboration with fellow Girl Scouts. Please see the information below for details on schedules and what you should plan for across this two-day event.

We will have check in set up on N St. between 10 and 11. Please plan to arrive between 9:30am and 10am to check in and go through security to enter the Capitol.
Agenda for Thursday: 9:30am – check in begins10:00am – welcome message 10:10am to 12:00pm – discussions and panels 12:00pm – picnic lunch on the lawn 1:15pm – Senate and Assembly Floortour1:45pm to 4:00pm – mock election and advocacy workshop 4:00pm – day 1 ends *schedule is subject to change
Thursday’s program includes: access to all panels and discussions in the Capitol hearing rooms, a picnic lunch outdoors, and an event patch. All steps of the Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Democracy badges will be completed, but the badges are not included.
Parking: There are several public parking lots available near the Capitol building. Parking
costs are not covered by GSHCC. Please be sure to plan for parking for the duration of the
event. We recommend the following parking garages:
DGS Parking garage on 10th St.
SP+ Parking at 1209 L St.
Park ABM at 1000 K St.
