Events & Collaborations
The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls is proud to work with a wide range of partners on programs, research, policy, community events, and amplification efforts highlighting the incredible leadership and work happening across our state, our nation, and around the world to increase opportunities and equity and elevate the contributions of women and girls.
The Way Forward Is Together
A 2023 report from the World Economic Forum estimates that globally, women will not attain parity with men for another 131 years – that’s 2154! The overall gender gap — defined as a measurement of equality across factors such as the economy, politics, health and education — closed by a mere 0.3% over the last year according to the “Global Gender Gap Report 2023.”
Rather than get discouraged, the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls is expanding our efforts and getting to work instead. And we can’t do any of it alone.
