Max Macedo
Director of Fiscal and AdministrationMaxwell Macedo currently serves as the Director of Fiscal and Administration at the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. His civil service journey began in 2020 with the California Department of Public Health, where he held roles as a contracting analyst and COVID-19 Project Specialist during the pandemic. Prior to his current position, Max served as the Business Operations Manager at the Governor’s Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications, contributing significantly to operational functions.
Before joining state government, Max’s diverse background includes roles such as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army, Deputy Sheriff in Nevada, Emergency Management Coordinator at the Department of Homeland Security, Account Executive at Shelter Insurance, and Senior Analyst at Raytheon.
Maxwell earned a master’s degree in psychology from Ashford University of San Diego and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in homeland security and emergency management. He resides in Sacramento with his wife Brandy and their four children.
