Ranjana Maharaj

Ranjana Maharaj joined the Commission in 2021 as an Equal Pay Specialist. Ranjana started her tenure with the State of California in 2016 with Covered California. During her tenure at Covered California Ranjana worked in Policy – Eligibility Operations where she helped her team develop the User Interface Design and Consumer Notices. Ranjana then joined the Program Integrity Division at Covered California where she conducted User Acceptance Testing to ensure the User Interface functioned as designed.

Previously, Ranjana worked in the Public Sector for 10 years with an extensive background in Public Health and the Americans with Disabilities Unit with the County of Sacramento. Ranjana has extensive experience in Public Health, Policy, State Regulations, ADA compliance, Web Portal Design, Compliance, Quality Assurance, and User Acceptance Testing. 

Ranjana has been recognized by her peers for her extraordinary strength and commitment to Equal Rights and Rights for Women and is actively pursuing her goal towards earning a Master’s in Behavioral Science Gender Equity Studies at Sacramento State.
