Yating Campbell

Communications Director

Yating Campbell is a seasoned Communications Director with more than two decades of experience serving in key roles across multiple California state departments. Most recently, she served as the Public Affairs Manager with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.

Yating began her public service career in the legislative unit under Governor Gray Davis. Her commitment to environmental causes led her to roles at a state-federal water agency, recycling department, and the California Resources Agency. She has also served as the Public Affairs Director for Board of Equalization Members Fiona Ma, CPA and Malia Cohen.

Outside of her professional work, Yating is a passionate community volunteer, actively supporting several nonprofit organizations, many of which focus on women and youth development. She is a proud Scouting America and Girl Scout leader, a City of Sacramento neighborhood ambassador, and was named a Natomas Women of Note in 2019. She also serves as one of the inaugural Commissioners for the Sacramento County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.

Yating received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University California, Davis. Along with her husband, she has two children, two dogs, and a cat.
